1. How quickly will I receive my items? (And how much does shipping cost?)

Most of our items are semi-premade and require only minor custom-finishing, although most items in our "underthings" category are custom-made to order.
Because of this, please allow up to a week after you place your order for your items to ship.

2. If a skirt is listed as "for waist 24 - 30" or "31 - 38", what does that mean?

Because we want your items to fit you well, we don't completely finish some items until they are sold.
If a skirt or dress is listed in a range of measurements, that means we can finish off that item to fit anyone within that range.
Our skirt waistbands generally do not have elastic, but instead are fitted just for you. When you order, you will tell us your measurements, and we will finish the item in your size before shipping it out.

3. Can I buy an item if my waist size is not listed as "suitable" for that item?

We usually do not recommend this. We try to list size ranges so that the items will have the appropriate amount of fabric consisent with lolita style.
Basically what this means is that for gathered skirts, we want the width of the skirt to be about 2 1/2 - 3 times your waist measurment so that it's nice and poofy. We will make skirts and dresses in lots of sizes, so that you can have a nice amount of poof for your measurements.

The one exception is if you really fancy a less poofy skirt, you may consider purchasing a gathered skirt that is listed with a smaller waist measurement than your own. We will list the width of the skirt so that you can judge what will work best for your style.

4. I really like the fabric (or style) of a certain item. Will you have more of this item?

The answer to this kind of question will usually be "maybe." Sometimes we may have enough fabric in a particular print to make lots of items; sometimes we may only have enough for one. Sometimes we can reorder a fabric, sometimes not.
Feel free to let us know you like a fabric or style, but we probably won't be able to tell you whether or not it will appear again.

5. Can you replicate a certain item for me, or do custom orders?

We offer petticoats and some styles of bloomers (on our "underthings" page) custom-made to order. All other items are only available as posted on the website - similar to a "buy it now" store on eBay. We may make post of certain items, but not by request.
Currently, we are not taking any custom orders.
Most skirts and dresses do have the option to purchase a matching hair accessory in your choice of several styles.

6. Can you "customize" my items for me?

Some items can be customized in a few ways.
First, most skirts and dresses will be custom-fit to your waist (and/or bust) measurement (within the specified range.)
Second, many skirts can be shortened if desired. (We make many skirts longer to accomodate taller lolitas, but most can be shortened to the standard 20" length or even shorter.)
Third, some items could have extra details added (such as additional lace or bows) for an extra cost. E-mail us with any inquiries.

7. Do you accept returns?

Because everything is handmade and customized for you, we do not accept returns. The one exception is if items arrived damaged from mailing.
However, we do want you to be happy with your purchases, so if you have any concerns, please contact us. Be sure to make any inquiries about your order within 30 days of receiving it.

8. Who makes the items?

All our items are handmade in the USA by Mara and Leah. Check out our About Us Page for more info.

9. Can I order if I don't live in the United States?

Yes - we ship to most other countries. See our Shipping Page for rates and details.

10. Do I have to pay sales tax?

We live in Illinois, so only our fellow Illinoian Lolitas need to pay :) The rate is 6.5%, and it will be calculated automatically by the shopping cart.
